What keeps you going when you’re suffocating and it’s almost impossible to take a break?

The Next Stop_Polliholic_Book Cover.jpg

Are you tired of the hectic pace of your routine life, where your thoughts and emotions can no longer catch up with the fast changes in reality and you live like the walking dead as if the only thing you experience in everyday life is the gloomy feeling of powerlessness?

What keeps you going when you’re suffocating and it’s almost impossible to take a break?

Perhaps, you may find a different answer in this wordless picture book.

ARTIST'S MESSAGE

Stepping into society, everything comes and goes. You hardly have time to digest what’s going on before the next event happens. There is no ending.

Life goes on while your mind’s in chaos.

You are alive but dead.

When was the last time you reflected upon life?

Intoxicated in a fleeting world, few minutes before the train stopped, I found solitude staring into the quiet mountains outside the window.

Though just a few minutes, though still surrounded by bodies like myself, that moment belonged to me, and me alone.

I believe everyone has doubted life at some point, especially when you’re at a low. Working vs living, time vs money, plans vs the unplanned… Every conflict in life made us question: what’s the meaning of all these? We are all the protagonist of the book.

Whenever you feel lost, please remember we are in this gloom together. Allow your troubled thoughts sparkle in the night sky, and may these stars guide us forward.

“Who cares if one more light goes out, in the sky of a million stars?

Well, I do.”
