AUSSIE WILD LIFE

ABOUT

The pure nature of Australia has been an inspiration for Polliholic to create since her first stay in Queensland 2017.

In June 2019 – May 2020, Australia experienced a world-known maga bushfire.

It was claimed that three billion terrestrial vertebrates – the vast majority being reptiles – were affected and some endangered species were believed to be driven to extinction.

A series of 12 illustrations of aussie animals were created in Queensland in 2018, postcard versions were printed for fund raising in 2019, and $200 aud was donated to  Kanagroo Island Wildlife Park in Jan 2020 for animal rescue and rehabilitation.

After having a close touch with local Aussie animals in Western Australia in 2019, especially Quokka, Echidna, Wallaby and Emu, Poliiholic created another series of Aussie animals illustrations with alternative style digitally.
